Dear WAVA listener,

“You’ll never be the same!”

That’s what I kept hearing as I looked into taking a trip to Israel. After a lot of thought and prayer, I’m convinced it’s true! And that’s why I decided to go to the Holy Land myself.

On October 19, 2009, Salem Communications VP of Operations David Ruleman and I are leading a group of WAVA listeners on a ten-day tour of Israel, the land of the Bible and the land where Jesus Himself walked, transforming hearts and lives.

We’ll be joined by a number of the area’s leading pastors, each of whom will have several people from their church with them. It promises to be a remarkable opportunity to build new friendships and deepen old ones; and I am certain that you will be dramatically impacted by your time in Israel with us.

I am praying that you will join me on this trip of a lifetime as we walk where Jesus walked and visit the places where He healed the sick, taught the multitudes, died on the Cross – and arose 2,000 years ago.

This trip is much more than simply a vacation. I believe we truly will never be the same upon our return. This is an opportunity to see the people, places, and events of the Bible come alive before our very eyes … an opportunity to get to know one another and to get to know Him better!

I look forward to worshipping with you in the holy silence of the Garden Tomb where Jesus was laid. I am eager to visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Upper Room, and I can only imagine the feeling we will have as we stand together and look out over the Sea of Galilee where our Lord stilled the waters!
